Chimo Beach is located about 3 km east of Rivers along the Southeasterly side of Lake Wahtopanah just of PTH 25. At this park, there is a picnic area, swimming area with washrooms and running water, as well as a boat dock and boat launch. Lions Park is located adjacent to the bridge on PTH 25 and downstream from the dam on Lake Wahtopanah.
The Cenotaph Park is located in downtown Rivers next the Legion Hall. It was built to honor the soldiers who gave their lives in battle. These parks are excellent places to have a picnic under the shade of the nearby trees, and enjoy the great outdoors.
The Elementary School Playground
This playground is equipped with swings, plenty of climbing areas, a slide, paved basketball courts, and three ball diamonds. Enjoy the outdoor skating rink located behind the Elementary School come wintertime!
The Downtown Pocket Parks
These little treasures are ideal spots to enjoy your lunch, coffee, scenery and company with peers! Developed by the Rivers in Bloom with community support these two pocket parks are beautifully designed landscaped, and tucked neatly next to Lee’s Restaurant, and Super Thrifty Drug Mart.
Rivers Kid’s Park
Located along highway 25, this lovely treed in park is a securely fenced in playpark for children! Completed with sandboxes, plastic jungle-gym, swing set and park benches this area is a perfect place to take retreat to on a summers day!
Completed in 2007 Rivers skate park is situated right beside the Rivers Kid’s Park. The Rivers Skate Park is a 45’x70’ skate park with a concrete pad completed with mini ramps, handrails, funbox, and steps! This park is suitable for skateboarders, and BMX enthusiasts!
