Hunting & Fishing

Fishing

Many people like to fish off the banks of the Little Saskatchewan River or from the shores of Lake Wahtopanah.  Some of the different types of fish found in the area include walleye, perch, and northern pike.  Anglers have been known to catch northern pikes in excess of 10kg (22lbs) and walleye weighing in excess of 5kg (11lbs).  We have access to the Lake from three boat launches: Daly Beach, Brandon Wildlife Dock, and the Provincial Park Dock.

Hunting

Deer hunting, duck hunting, and goose hunting are very popular in this area. The valleys and ravines found in the area provide excellent coverage for both large and small wildlife.  For this reason, the area is known for its large deer.
