Made up of 38 hectares of mixed grass prairie, this park is situated on the west side of Lake Wahtopanah and located 1.6km east of the Town of Rivers. The lake offers ample opportunities for fishing, hiking, swimming, sailing, sun bathing, water skiing, or boating. The lake, a reservoir that was created by damming the Little Saskatchewan River, was named after a native word meaning “canoe people”.
The campground has a public beach with a new play structure, changing huts, and a beach volleyball net. CJ’s Snack Shack and Mini Golf is open from mid-May to mid-September. Here you are able to play a round of mini golf, chow down on burgers, and satisfy your sweet tooth with some ice cream!
The campground consists of 30 campsites, 20 overflow sites, and 19 seasonal sites. Electrical and non-electrical serviced sites are available.
